Background
For as long as the Meesin have existed, so has Berexus the God of Fertile Fields. A deity that takes the form of a giant Tyrannus-Bee, Berexus has made the open fields of Ryksan and Honeyridge Mountain his home, feverishly protecting it from would-be invaders and raging monsters alike. He is powerful and indomitable, having spent an eternal lifetime wandering the peninsula and watching over the hardworking Meesin like a proud father-figure, never shying away from coming to their defence when they may require it.
It is thanks to Berexus that the Meesin have been able to thrive despite the aggressive expansion of their southern neighbours. Many times have the Kings and Queens of Luxfordia sought to capture Honeyridge and merge it with their kingdom and each time has Berexus stood there to defy them. Years of toil and terror has made this deity especially aggressive towards any who considers themselves loyal to Luxfordia.
All of this is not to say that Berexus hasn't been defeated before - no, in fact he has faced parties of mighty warriors and cunning spellslingers against who he could not come out top, dying in his mortal coil and returning to a state of dormancy deep within his mountain-home... but a deity like him does not stay dead for long, for he would always resurrect ready to defend those who worship him... to the bitter, or sweet end.
Berexus is not always on duty however. Less frequently he is found living among the Meesin peacefully, being tended to and showered with praise and song by the crafty folk of the mountain.
Powers and Abilities
Berexus is a colossal figure who boasts incredible strength and a surprisingly amount of agility and guile despite his appearance. He is capable of brawling with dozens of fighters at a time and remain on-top, his hard exoskeleton making him impervious to damage so long as it is up. He relies on the bite of his maw to consume his prey for sustenance, the edge of his blade-like hands for cleaving down a group of opponents standing next to each other and the tip of his enormous stinger to inject select targets with a deadly venom that few can survive past an hour of injection.
Berexus is also able to make use of his wings to lift himself off the ground. He is able to sustain his flight for a couple of minutes before needing to land but that usually is enough time to bombard his foes with concentrated beams of destructive ether, eradicating any foolish enough to stand in the way of his aerial assault.
Physical Description
Berexus resembles a Tyrannus but with the wings and certain features of a common bee. Some parts of his body is covered in a tough, shining exoskeleton plating while others are exposed and softer, especially around his neck-region where he features an incredible fluffy mane. He has large dinosaur-like legs with three scythe-like claws on each foot. Berexus' rear end features a giant bee-like abdomen that ends with a long stinger.
