Synthetic Biotex
When the Draken began to make breakthroughs in how the world worked and what they can create using the in-world materials in hand they began to experiment with constructs that could do many of the jobs that they could but with higher efficiency. Sadly for perfect constructs they needed to find a way to give them bodies that weren't restricted to ridged movement and as such they began to research ways of creating a material that replicates the soft tissue of a living creature's skin, using donated dragonskin to experiment with and melding it with magic and alchemy to create a process that could copy the texture and attributes of dragonskin. This material would be called Synthetic Biotex and it became the core of most Draken Engineering alongside the hard and durable Dragonite.
Biotex is a soft, latex-like material that is 100% synthetic allowing experts in Dragonhearth to produce it using a combination of magic and alchemy. Though it costs much to make it, the end result has proven to be worthwhile even to the Dragons. As such Biotex has many attributes of dragonskin including high durability, resistance to most elements and magic and highly-flexible when treated right. It is a core component in their prosthetics as well as the Automatrons they create. Certain high-end Draken clothing and Dragon accessories also make use of Biotex as a material, creating skin-tight suits that can protect the wearer.
