Background
Caelina Duze was born in a now-forgotten Human town in Livanin but at an early age her family moved to a town called King's Crossing in the Azura Province. During her childhood, Caelina had a fondness to learning about plants and aspired in becoming an alchemist who would specialize in medicine. Around the age of 10, she met a girl her own age named Sheela Neel who was brought into her town for immediate medical attention by Shrevir. Seeing this as an opportunity to further her career, Caelina hopped onto helping the girl recover by aiding the professional medics with anything they offered her, ranging from collecting berries to bandaging the desert girl. Though the memory of her was almost non-existant, Sheela felt her presence in her sleep and would subconsciously remember her.
When the desert girl recovered, Caelina felt the secret urge to stay by her side, at first watching her from a distance but overtime the two would get closer and closer, Sheela sharing her horrific and dark story with Caelina as she was the only one she could trust right now, the two becoming close friends within months that spent most of their days together, frolicking in the fields and forests and even doing battle with some weaker monsters that Sheela could fight off with the encouragement of her bestie.
At the age of 20, Caelina traveled to New Luxford to study medicine, leaving Sheela behind in King's Crossing at the care of her family. During her five years in New Luxford, Caelina showed great knowledge in biology and alchemy and would graduate with a degree that titled her a true professional in her art. Though it was a long time, Sheela welcomed Caelina with happy, open arms when she finally returned to King's Crossing, the two continuing on their relationship. Caelina became the town's head of medicine and alchemy and Sheela was honoured in becoming her right hand, often sending her out to gather materials for her, even gifting her a small dagger with which she could cut berries, moss and bark much easier.
One day, the kingdom of Luxfordia came forth to recruit all able-armed forces into their Grand Army which would retake the world. Though the people in the rural towns were not so keen on joining such a ruthless attack, Sheela was all for it, signing up into the army on the first day. Caelina was... not so keen on doing it at first, but when Sheela told her how many lives she could help in the process and how the war will not bring any casualties, Caelina fool-hardly agreed to sign herself up to becoming a part of the Sunstalkers squadron despite the protests of her own parents.
Unfortunately, when the assault on Livanin started, Caelina saw just how devastating it was going to be. She was maddened even, because in her mind Sheela had lied to her, she wasn't saving lives, she was helping a slaughter continue. During an attack on the Senkh town of Nazza, she forced Sheela to spare as many of the Senkh as possible, often times doing things that would divert her attention away from executing innocents. When the war in the desert drew to a close and Sheela was appointed leader of the Sunstalkers and have her settle a town in the northern desert, Caelina became her right hand in leadership and she wished to talk her out of slaughtering more innocents and, to her surprise, she broke through. On a silent night in their quarters, Sheela and Caelina sat down to speak to one another, the alchemist confessing her worries about Sheela's thirst for vengeance and the hatred she had towards the Senkh and in tears she said that if she does not stop this senseless killing, she would have to leave her faction and return home. Sheela was honestly heartbroken in this time but came through on top, staying strong and bringing her friend into a hug and promising her that she will change, though that she must remain strong and iron-gripped as well to keep their organization from falling apart, to which Caelina agreed with loving affection, wanting to hear nothing more than that her best friend promised to change.
It would be true too, during the next few years Sheela direct the focus away from hunting the Senkh and instead trying to make loud statements against the empire as a whole, demanding to get parts of their land back. Unfortunately, the greater war ended with Yvain's death and many of the Sunstalkers left the faction, many more forced to leave when they plotted on killing Sheela and taking up leadership themselves, requiring harsh punishments to be dealt out that Caelina had to bear through, knowing it was in the realm of reason for Sheela to act harshly there. Though she did not agree with the king's ways, Caelina stayed with Sheela and the other women of the Sunstalkers because she believed she could make a difference and guide them to a better path.
Together they ruled the desert Humans for close to 60 years, even marrying to one another at one point. When age caught up to her and her partner, Sheela chose a new chieftain to lead the Sunstalkers onwards though her and Caelina continue to aid in making decisions that benefit their faction the most. Caelina continues to encourage a fraction of the Sunstalkers to focus on exploring the desert and trying to make friends with the Senkh, even though the majority remained hard-hearted.
