Background
A modern legend, Cricke Wild is a famed adventurer known throughout Auria for his published books retelling his wild and perilous journeys through the untamed wilderness.
Named "Toby Outwater" at birth, Cricke would be raised by his parents Sebastian and Evy in their humble home on the outskirts of Noztown, Saberos where'd they live a rural lifestyle tending to their family plantation. It was a simple life for a young Toby, full of hard labour and bountiful rewards as Sebastian taught the trade to his son since he was only three years old, but Toby was not content with staying in one place at a time. No, Toby would always be full of energy and excitement that caused him to run off whenever he could to explore the jungle near his home, venturing into caves and ruins usually by his lonesome but sometimes taking his childhood friend Steve with him.
Toby would begin to study nature and history instead of how to tend to the crops, a decision that broke his old man's heart but was reinforced by his mother who wanted to allow him the freedom to choose his own path in life. Toby would enlist himself in the local militia as a volunteer scout and be trained how to navigate the harsh and uneven landscape his people called home. By the age of 22 Toby would have become a bit of a local legend for his contributions in homeland defence as he contributed greatly to the prevention and extermination of a growing monster threat.
At the age of 29, Toby would set out on an adventure across Saberos in order to see the mythical lands of the Vishaali and study their culture. At 34, Cricke would be called back home in order to enlist him into the army in preparation for the Grand War. During the war, his family home would be burnt to the ground and integrated into a military outpost for Luxfordia during their occupation of Nova Voltex. Toby would go AWOL and become an independent figure fighting in the jungles and preying of the soldiers of Luxfordia, becoming a notorious thorn in the sides of the enemy.
Following the war and liberation of his homeland, Toby would remain absent many presuming him dead. In truth he'd go on to change his identity to Cricke Wild and set out on a galactic journey of self-discovery and adventure. Cricke would begin to write and publish his books for the world to read during a time of great uncertainty, giving the peoples of Auria a chance to see just how big and full of opportunity the world still is.
At the age of 50, Cricke would return to his family plantation to find his parents still working there. He revealed himself to them in order to reunite but had no intention of giving up his life as Cricke Wild - in fact he would write an Exposé about himself to tell the world his true identity.
To date Cricke has published eight books each as anticipated as the last.
