Deathwake
On the western coast of Agrimar lies the Deathwake, a once verdant stretch of the Black Forest that became a prominent place for the children of old Luxfordia to go hunt when their great nation was still in shambles.
In the earliest ages, these woods were home to the cunning Squros who hailed these woods with higher regard and faith, believing in a squirrel deity who resided there in spirit. The forest, however, would begin to lose its mystical glimmer near the end of the Era of Wars and begin to decay starting with the Era of Healing, the trees and plantlife of these groves withering and crumbling, leaving behind a wake of darkened soil that is course like sand - The Deathwake, as Luxfordia would begin to call it.
Now a defiled reach of land that is devoid of its past beauty, the Deathwake is home to dangerous monsters like corrupted Treants who wander the decayed landscape desperate to regrow it and Gnolls who practice foul magics believing that if they do the sickness will spare them, ignorant to the fact that they are already afflicted by it.
Port-town Aradon lies on the shoreline of the Deathwake, a Luxfordian settlement that served to bridge the gap between Agrimar and Triones. Since the corruption, the town has fallen to disarray, its denizens afflicted with the curse of undeath.
