Background
Elrienda like majority of Draken was born in Dragonhearth and raised to serve the dragons. Even though it wasn't a requirement, the feeling of servitude was passively forced onto her when growing and that feeling burdened her mind since very young age. Elrienda was dealing with that pressure in few ways but mainly through training and combat while trying to figure things out. Unfortunately unstable family did not contribute towards bettering her mind.
Redscale, her brother, came to be shortly after her as her mother got into a relationship with a different Draken after letting go of the previous mate. The new mate wasn't fond of Elrienda, only fueling her anxiety and pressure that came from servitude being a Draken. With that Elrienda was mostly left to fend for herself whether it came to interacting with others or training, the basic necessity of housing and food was provided, although reluctantly.
Her relationship with Redscale, although lukewarm at best, was still better than with the mother and foster father. She often got into heated argues with them but at the very least she could count on Redscale to not bother her too much and provide some more normal social interaction. Overtime Elrienda and Redscale grew to enjoy each other's company even more, especially once they started to train together, though at first it damaged their relationship as Elrienda's need to show herself off discouraged Redscale from training with her. When left to train alone once more in outskirts of Dragonhearth Elrienda came to realization that her actions might've pushed her brother away. Since he was the only person she could regularly interact with and not feel judged that weighed on her mind and heart too hard, making her reluctantly apologize towards him and offer more fair sportsmanship.
Redscale was as reluctant as her apologies but since he knew Elrienda he was surprised that she even admitted her fault, not mentioning of apologizing. With that the siblings trained together, Elrienda growing fond of axes, maces and crossbows while her brother looked towards swords and guns. The access to such weapons was given by one of aspirants that felt bad for Elrienda. Even though the aspirant didn't knew Elrienda it was roughly known about the situation she was going through. With that the siblings were allowed to use one of aspirant's places to train, far from others so they wouldn't interrupt the official training sessions.
In between the sessions Elrienda often felt like she had to help the others otherwise she would be judged by them. With constant peer pressure, that might've been just her exaggerated imagination, she often offered her help, whether it was towards another Draken or a Dragon. Unfortunately for her the reluctance and lack of vigor, often with short sharp tongue, resulted only in worsening her reputation near where she lived. However Redscale often helped with fixing it so she wouldn't be a complete social outcast as her mind, that was as violent as rampaging Hydra, regularly put her in weird, often bad, situations with fellow Draken.
At age of 15 Elrienda was determined to attend a Rite of Ascension, even though it was discouraged by her brother who felt that her being a massive violent hothead would bring unwanted effects, she ignored Redscale's advice and decided to attend the Rite. She knew her intelligence and puzzle solving might put her behind but she believed she would power through them and win the combat to become an Aspirant. With her determination, fueled by deep-rooted wanton to break free and gain of control of her life, she attended the Rite. However right before they started she received from the same Aspirant, that borrowed her weapons, a black plate/mail armor set to help in the Rites. She wore it nearly instantly, ready to take on the challenges.
First challenges Elrienda received were based on her knowledge, agility and logical thinking. Although she was somewhat below average when it came to knowledge and on average with logical thinking, her determination and haste allowed her to somewhat brute force through the challenges as her will did not waver nor she doubted in herself, allowing for constant fast attempts to push through. They did strain her focus and patience but in the end her desires were stronger than any obstacle put in front of her.
Once Elrienda got to the combat part of the training she got placed into a fight against a Draken that was also attending the Rite. They two fought fiercely but in the end Elrienda was getting an edge over her opponent, being able to sweep him onto the ground. However due to the adrenaline and buzzing rage that she was able to let out, she didn't hear him surrendering and swung with her axe right at his shoulder, sinking through half of it with her weapon. Only the Draken's piercing cry of pain knocked Elrienda out of her frenzy to realize what she did. With her eyes wide open she stumbled backwards and sat on the ground, shocked and confused, as few Aspirants came to interrupt the Rite to save Elrienda's opponent. With this her rite was interrupted and had to be judged for what she did.
Elrienda wasn't able to defend herself even as her words got stuck in the throat and she felt like whatever she would say was pointless. With this the Aspirants, with approval of Zamendrya disallowed Elrienda for finishing current rite and disallow her to participate in new ones for indefinite time. This struck the fierce Draken hard as after that event she hid for few days from everyone's sight in abandoned ruins to digest what just happened. During this time she went through tears and pain of having her disallowed from the rite, to then change these feelings into rage and hatred as she felt this was unfair and it was just yet another way to control her and put her in eternal servitude to others.
With the rage boiling underneath her scales she headed towards her home, meeting many Draken that looked down at her and ending on her parents that disowned her and gave a week to move out. Redscale during this time was mostly silent and pondering as he tried to cope with this situation as well, trying to somehow talk with his sister, even though he knew she wasn't going to listen. It pained him to see his sister being sent away but he had little to say. With the few days left Redscale tried to assure his sister that what happened was a coincidence and that with time she would be able to attend the Rite, stronger and smarter. However that only increased Elrienda's rage before getting into a fight with him, resulting in a tie as both got extremely tired and seriously wounded.
On the last day Elrienda gave her brother an enclosed letter to open after few days she moved out, inside which she apologized once more for what she did and that she should've listen but what happened only proved her feelings of unfairness and how the Dragonhearth wasn't for her. With her being disowned and disallowed from Rite of Ascension she had no chains to hold her down as she only to prove herself that she can survive. In the letter she also told him she moved to Urson's capity city, Asgaror to see if she would fit better between a kind of tall and strong fighters and perhaps get the control and power of her life she needed.
From this point onward Elrienda spent years traveling to various places to find her own place but ultimately failing at it. Asgaror was the closest she could call to home but even between the massive bears she felt she was different and unwanted. Her hunger for power and control also constantly kept her starved, disallowing to find a peaceful way to live. With that she ended up being a blade for hire and a courtesan that traveled to many places whether to charm her foes or murder them. Even though she was constantly trying to prove herself with these deeds she couldn't forget about her brother that she stayed in touch through letters. They were sparse but in the end allowed their connection to not fade completely.
In recent times Elrienda got a house in Asgaror where she resides semi-regularly while constantly being on lookout for tasks. Her name reached this city and some learned about her accident at the Rites while also learning of her current profession. She earned a "Merciless" title from local people due to her efficiency at tasks given, yet some wonder whether this rage-fueled and anxiety-driven Draken will find her peace in the world or will die during one of her fights and everyone forgets about her.
Physical Appearance
Elrienda is 149 cm tall Draken that has black scales and yellow eyes. She has short draconic snout, horns placed at the back of her head with fins connected underneath and sharp teeth inside of a surprisingly strong jaw. She is constantly seen wearing black plate armor she got from her Rite of Ascension as a constant reminder that she failed it and there is no place for her in Dragonhearth. However on its own the armor provides a significant additional defense for her, even covering a solid chunk of her tail while she wears a two-handed, double-edged axe.
Underneath her armor her chest scales are significantly whiter when compared to the rest of the body, yet all of her scales are very flexible and durable, able to withstand a stab of a dagger with minor wounds. Her legs are strong and very muscled, allowing her to stand and lift up things that average Draken isn't able to. Her arms have also well-defined muscles with hands that have a solid grip, able to crush bones of races like Fenik or Human if she were able to hug-crush them.
