Olaff the Great

In the age when other planets had opened themselves to the Luxfordians, then King of Luxfordia selected the savage Harold the Black and the noble Eressa Silen to lead an expedition onto Wyrmeron to expand their kingdom's territory past their own planet. With Harold came five hundred barbaric warriors eager to spread their people's conquest onto Wyrmeron and with Eressa came a two hundred honourable Hunters seeking to make their expansion onto Wyrmeron one built upon respect and peace towards the natives.

When they first set foot upon the Frostfire Islands, they made their presence known to the Avari there with a brutal attack led by Harold with the goal of striking fear into their enemies and gain a foothold within one of their own settlements all while ignoring the protests of Eressa Silen and her hunters who chose not to go into battle with them. When the ambush failed thanks to the Avari's deadly accuracy with their bows causing Harold's men to suffer a dozen casualties, a conflict quickly formed between him and his opposite, the two clearly with differing views on how to approach settling on Wyrmeron. Though Harold threatened to slay the peaceloving woman where she stood, he restrained himself and denounced her involvement in this expedition instead, spewing hateful words at the hunter and her men which inevitably made them turn their backs on Harold and his warriors, telling that their place within the warmongering Luxfordia is no more. Eressa and her hunters would make to the west, to the far end of the northern continent where they would settle a secluded village known this day as Heirdorm.

Now without the hunters supporting their ranks, Harold led his men east to Shiveer Frontier. While the Avari and their arial and range superiority were able to defeat Harold's men without struggle, the primal might of the tribal Urson allowed Harold to lead into battle more confidently, doing battle with the bear people native to the land which would start a three century war between their two forces, in the process being able to settle multiple villages among them Krigerildsted. Despite their forces being greatly outnumbered, the versatile and adaptive Human spirit allowed Harold to lead the war with determination and vigor. Ultimately even the Avari reinforcements that the Urson employed could not help turn the tide as the Humans begun using ranged weaponry of their own in siege weapons and even capturing Dragons for their own use.

The war would end when the Urson gained access to a weapon still unknown to the barbarians - Magic. With it, the barbarians were onslaught with sudden thunderstorms, blizzards and Urson warriors enhanced with elemental properties. By that time, the man who led them there three hundred years ago was no more and the Fjordsid, as they called themselves now, were waning in numbers. To save those who can still be saved, Olaff the Great took up leadership of their leaderless people and promptly surrendered to the Urson, who then saw it fitting that they be banished to the far south, to Everfrost, the land afflicted with biting cold.

"Only in the frozen wastes shall your bodies find true courage! Only in the cold south shall you find redemption for your bloodthirsty souls!" the Fylkir Falgon spoke to Olaff, who saw their punishment not so but as an opportunity to challenge themselves and make a proper home on Wyrmeron. They would be taken to the Maw of Xax, the far eastern end of Everfrost where they would slowly build a new home all while in constant danger of the neverending cold. This settlement of theirs would soon be known as Eldgammelildsted and within a few centuries time it would be turned into a mighty warrior city that is able to brave the wrath of Everfrost.

Following their banishment, the Fjordsid begun to live with more restrain on Wyrmeron, secluding themselves to the southern continent where they did battle with giants and dragons alike while on occasion invading the northern continent and battling the Urson there. Some of the Fjordsid would one day return to Shiveer and rebuild the ruins of one of their old villages, Krigerildsted, and make it a trade port between Eldgammelildsted and Asgaror.
