Hybrid
Hybrids, or half-breeds, are creatures born from a Human or a Dragonkin breeding with a different Mortal species, which results in their child taking a mix of features from both parents' species. In rare cases the child may come out "pure" too, taking on the physical resemblance of only one race, however All Hybrids are considered biologically stronger than pure-breed Humans as their genes were enhanced by whatever race the other parent is, even if they appear fully Human in appearance as the blood of the other parent's race still courses through their veins.
It is theorized that the reason why Dragons, Draken and Wyaur are able to mate with other Mortal species in Auria is because the Gods created the Dragons to be compatible with the genes of the other species in case of an emergency in the decline of the population. Humans are said to share similar genes as Dragons so it is possible that they too were made to fill this role.
Human+Elf
One of the rare cases of a Hybrid becoming its own race was when Humans and Elves first begun to breed, producing children who were the height of Humans but had the ears and eyes of Elves. Due to their views towards their impure children, Humanity would become resentful of them and treat them as lowborn citizens for many decades to come. The Elves in the mean time saw them with respect and dignity and would even gift them the honourable title of Asvar, meaning 'Proud Sibling'.
Human+Fenik
Fenik Hybrids borrow the intelligence and senses of a Fenik and the strength of a Human, though a lot of them are short much like the Fenik. Common Fenik hybrids have been seen sporting Fenik tails and ears
Human+Avari
Avari Hybrids almost always have wings either attached to their arms or sprouting from their back, allowing flight. They have keener eyesight too. They may also have beaks or talons.
Human+Urson
Urson Hybrids are commonly much more physically stronger than normal Humans. They may also pick up Elemental magic a lot faster. They may have bear ears and tails as well as ursine noses.
Human+Sark
Sark Hybrids have increased regeneration allowing them to regrow entire functional limbs if given enough time, though many Sark hybrids have been known for having bursts of uncontrollable anger. They may have scaly spots on their skin, reptilian tails and claws.
Human+Senkh
Senkh Hybrids are largely the same as Sarks, with enhanced regenerative capabilities. They may, however, appear with slimmer tails and venomous snake fangs.
Human+Wolfen
Wolfen Hybrids have a natural connection to the wilderness, allowing them to pick up Druidism a lot quicker. They may grow canine features like ears or tails or even glowing lupine eyes.
Human+Dwarf
Known as Halflings, these hybrids are very common in both Luxfordia and the Dwarven Empire. Halflings are shorter than Dwarves, reaching to the heights of Fenik and they possess and they often possess interests in craftsmanship and thievery. Though they are looked down upon in Luxfordia, even ridiculed and name-called, the Halflings are a welcomed hybrids in Dwarven lands where they are even considered a respected part of their populous. Halflings consider the word "Gnome" offensive and insulting when they are called that.
