Background

Johani is the child of Frelani and Muston, two workers of Heirdorm who were close to Brelan, one of the Harbingers at the time. As such, Johani would often spend time with the Harbinger when she was able to and as such she would oft be given lessons in their religion and ways which would give her the opportunity of becoming a Harbinger herself one day. Growing up, Johani helped her parental figures with their cooking which they did to provide the entire town with warm meals each and every day, keeping their people well fed throughout all the hardships they had to face. The young Enrali would make an habit out of baking a wildberry pie for every day of harvest, placing it under the statue of Perisha as a gift for the goddess, hoping she would find delight in her cooking.

Unfortunately, despite all her prayers and faith, Johani's mother Frelani succumbed to an illness that put her on her deathbed at an early age, a grievous fate which was felt most of all by Johani herself, who immediately begun to question her ways and fell to a deep sorrow that almost put the Heirdorm kitchen to a standstill with the day of harvest nearing ever closer was it not for her father, Muston, who remained to work hard while trying to convince her grieving daughter to step out of the shadows and look towards the future instead. In her darkened room with her book of prayers Johani sat for days, contemplating her existence and feeling lost in the world at a young age, yet as if out of nowhere a bright light would fill her room, the vision of her mother appearing before her very eyes, now tearing up at the sight of her lost parent. Standing up to her hoofed feet, the young Johani asked the vision of her mother what to do and to which she could only reply with a firm, ghostly hug that filled the soul of the girl with warmth and one sentence - To let go and keep going.

Inspired to do as her mother had asked, Johani stepped out of the shadow of her room and begun to make preparations to make the greatest wildberry pie Malva would ever see during the Day of Harvest, infact she did not just bake one, but two, baking the night away to make it perfect and in the morning of the big celebration she would bring one in front of the big statue and the other she'd slice up, offering as many people around the village as possible a slice so that this year they could feast alongside their goddess who protected them... but in Johani's mind Perisha had a second and even more important task at hand which she wished to thank her for - taking care of her mother... and all those that would pass onto the afterlife.

After that eventful day, Johani would go on to be an even more active member of her people, working hard to better the living conditions of the Enrali folk to the point that Malva would eventually name her a Harbinger of the people when she was 20, a role and task that she took up with great pride and truth, continuing to keep up her devoted ways, baking one of the wildberry pies every year for Perisha as part of the celebrations.

Impressed by the girl's devotion and spirit, Malva would one day name Johani a Grand Harbinger so that she could take up the role of leader in the village instead of Malva, a honourary title which Johani herself never believed she would achieve. Alongside that, around this time Johani would be gifted with a daughter of her own named Elani, a child she loves without question.

Physical Appearence

Johani is a youthful and medium-lengthed Enrali with light blue skin and long white hair, running down her neck as well as both sides of her head. She has long, backwards-winding horns that curve upwards slightly and short, pointy ears underneath them. Her eyes are a crystalline blue and her lips are a delicate pink tone. She has a womanly body befitting the Enrali with motherly hips and a sizable torso, her tail on the longer end reaching nearly to her ankles.

Johani wears the garments of the Grand Harbinger, which consists of a silvery-blue robe with sapphire gem socketed into the chestpiece, golden details and brims all over the robe that make it look more fortified and long sleeves that can almost cover her small, delicate hands. She has wears two shoulderpads with the same details as the robe itself. In her hand she often carries her book of prayers with the mark of the Enrali carved onto the front. Sometimes she is also seen carrying a wooden staff with metallic bracers, making it a good weapon should she need to fight off a monster though in most cases she simply calls upon her magic to do the job.
