The fabled Khuwar is a creature of myth. Some say it doesn't exist, while others say it is a child of the Gods and only appears before those faithful enough. The truth of the Khuwar's origins can be traced back to Manticore, the God of Monsters who takes the form of a Khuwar.
Whatever the truth may be, Khuwar are few and far between. Each one known is named and has a story associate with them, like the Twin Kings Khorshee and Mah, two mythological Khuwar who's story is spun by the Senkh - one an avatar of the sun, the other of the moons, but bickering and hatred would lead them to fighting a century-long battle in which one never could best the other. In Vishaal lore there is great Udaar-Jaanavar, the beast of gifts and lust who inhabits a treasure vault in the mountains and comes down once a century to bring gifts to the Vishaali folk in exchange for pleasure and worship. Isilwane is another Khuwar, who inhabits the canyons of Grukoor and comes out only to challenge wanderers to a hunting competition where if Isilwane wins, he takes one of them as his own but if he loses, he forfeits one of his venomous claws.
Other stories of Khuwar exist, with many more discovered every so often.
