Since the time of Dragoosh's destruction, seven Elder Dragons have lived and served the Dragonqueen Zamendrya with utmost dignity and loyalty. Blessed with extended life and immense power, the Elders are instrumental in governing the holy order of the Draconic Empire through mutual understanding and the combination of each Elder Dragon's unique strengths and expertise. Following the end of the Era of Unity and the beginning of the Era of Magic, the Diviner Glaefyr who had served for almost three millennia would graciously fall to an eternal slumber, leaving his seat in the Ring uncertain. The Dragon Farogan, Prime of the Cardifice, would step up and take Glaefyr's place. As the new Diviner, Farogan would also become Zamendrya's mate through their holy law and whilst her love for him paled in comparison to that of Glaefyr, she would warm up to him through a century of bonding.

Almost a thousand years would pass before Zamendrya would choose to bear his children for him, gifting the world with the first of Farogan's eggs in the year 2094. From this egg, a beautiful whelpling would hatch, matching her father's glimmering scales and fiery red eyes. He would call her Nidrogan.

Throughout the years, the young Dragon would look upon her father and see pride and accomplishment, observing as the cogs of the Empire turned by the will of his words. Inspired to be like her father, Nidrogan took to train in order to become a proud Cardifice and hope of one day standing beside him as his Prime. He loved her much, moreso when he discovered her urgent interest of becoming a Cardifice even when he urged her to think of other pathes through life, reassuring that no matter what choice she would make, his affection would remain. In her time in youth, she would see many bloody wars held throughout the galaxy, wars that the Dragons could not help but only observe from a distance, unbothered by the outcome lest it affected them directly - a twisted way of thinking, for one's tasked by the Gods themselves to protect this fragile world of theirs. Doubt begun to seed itself in the young Dragon's heart and wrath poured through her soul even when she insisted on using their draconic might to put an end to ceaseless bloodshed and suffering, denied countless times by the Cardifice Prime Syraksus. When words did not work on the Prime, Nidrogan would turn to her father the Diviner to pursuade him to make the Ring take action. Nary a claw would be lifted to hear her concerns.

"Beware not, my daughter, for our holy duty is forged from indestructible iron. However you must understand that it is not the Dragons' place to order the feeble denizens of Auria in their actions like pets, nay it is the sacred order of the Eldest we preserve and cultivate. If they are to fight and kill one another, it is because the Gods, and by extension, the Eldest willed it."
-Farogan

Yet his words would not prove satisfactory to Nidrogan. A flawed design, with too much room for error to be risk-free. In the dark hollows of her den in the Apexion heights she was beset by concern and ultimately visions of distant worlds broken and destroyed by inaction and corruption. She feared the worst, the calamitous end of Auria by the inevitable hand of the Cosmos during a moment of weakness that could have been spared. In a climax of her own struggle, Nidrogan would turn to darker studies, taking inspiration from the ways of the Cosmologists to harness and break demonmagic to her own will, beginning an experimentation on cosmic forces in secret, directly opposing the teachings of the Cardifice and the holy law of Dragons.

Through blending her own lifeforce with the energies of the Cosmos, Nidrogan would be led to understand a weapon yet so unharnessed that it made her laugh. To use the Cosmos against the Cosmos, it seemed almost too obvious.

She would inadvertently be found out by the Cardifice and imprisoned at the age of 125, her treasoness actions laid bare to the Empire through rumour and hearsay and thus the people of the upper level would rally together to cheer for her execution. The day that judgement would be mete was 25.16.2219 and it would be Farogan himself that had to look into his firstborn's eyes and judge her guilty for the treason of the highest caliber. He could not, and for this he was seen a failure by the other Elder Dragons who looked upon him and saw a Dragon incapable of unbiased judgement. Prime Syraksus would not share the same weakness as the Diviner and would, temporarily, depose and replace him. Syraksus would have Nidrogan sentenced to the lowest pits of the Apexion Hold where she would be bound in anti-magic shackles for until death does her in.

After her momentous imprisonment, the city cheered. Syraksus would return the title of Diviner to Farogan but speak out about his inaction this day. Not long after, a decision would be laid forth by the other Elders to permanently remove him from his position and make Syraksus the new Diviner.

It has been just over eight centuries since Nidrogan's historic imprisoning yet murmurrings of a new threat deep within Dragonhearth itself have started to circulate. The Zealous Verdict, a faction of Draconic extremists seeking to subjugate the world under their iron fist, has emerged from the lower city and threatens to plunge the world into a new war. A Wyauri Zealot, bearing the alias "Nidrogan" is said to lead these upstarts.

Powers and Abilities

The Dragon Nidrogan was a practicing Archon, wielding powerful light magic at first but then twisting it with cosmic magic. No further proof of her capabilities exist, but she was considered a highly dangerous figure right before her imprisonment. Stories exist that tell of the battle between her and Syraksus as the latter fought to apprehend the former.

The Wyaur Nidrogan is a master at arms wielding a pair of Arcatech greatswords known as Erchonarok, becoming an unrelenting flurry of devastation who possesses both incredible strength as well as an uncanny ability to see attacks coming her way before they actually do. She wears a specially-crafted Arcatech Armour that is forged from Perfect Onyxium fused with Draconium to create a nigh-indestructible alloy. Thanks her Wyauri body combined with her arsenal, Nidrogan is a formidable force of strength and hardiness that is difficult to take down.

She is also capable of magic, often using elements of fire, earth and shadow twisted with Cosmic magics. She is also shown to harbour a dark, demonic entity within her body that protects her magically.

Physical Appearance

Nidrogan (33% 2).png

Nidrogan is a Wyaur that stands at four metres tall when on all fours, putting her well above the average height of her kin. She has golden scales with a lighter underbelly and black for horns, claws and husks. Her bodybuild is thick and muscled, though leaving room to be sleek and agile. She has long fin-like ears and two scythe-like horns sticking out from her forehead and a mane of large spikes running down the back of her head and neck. Her wings are punctured with holes and tatters, making them useless for practical use. Her tail is disproportionally long. Glowing red scars appear throughout her body that seep Ether out of them.

When wearing her armour, Nidrogan appears like a black mechanical construct. Not a part of her body is left exposed besides the spiky mane sticking out from the back of her head. Much of her armour is adorned with razor-sharp metallic edges and glowing red highlights that pulse with her heartbeat. Her wings are made whole with her armour, granting them the ability to shield her from incoming attacks. Crimson fabrics hang from her chest and back, though no design is imprinted onto them. Her tail now ends with a spear-like tip that can puncture and impale foes. Her feet are also adorned with blades made from the same material as her Erchonarok blades.
