Background
Blood, the existential essence of a mortal coil, is a vital part in the grand scheme of being. It flows through every living being's corporeal form in order to quite literally power their bodies and grant them the ability to move, to act, to be. Behind this formidable substance is one being in particular - Nytheran, the Bat God of Blood.
As Auria's Blood God, Nytheran represents the vital essence that gives life to mortal, beast and monsterkind. He is an architect, a sculptor of Regrown's creations, blueprinting the physical bodies of all living beings and engineering them to perfection. He is known for his attention to detail and obsession for perfection which borders on the maniacal, yet his designs have saved the galaxy time and time again.
Following the Dusk of Dawn, the planet Voi'Runil was utterly consumed by the Cosmos and threatened to become a breeding ground for demons. Nytheran would take charge and give form to a race of highly powerful and magically attuned creatures known as the Veryn who would be tasked to travel to the planet and contain the corruption in fortresses made of blessed stone. They would succeed in securing the corruption inside the planet and prevent its spread further into the galaxy which gave the God of Blood much deserved pride but also a taste for what could be. Following the success of the Veryn, Nytheran yearned for more and started running experiments to create new and improved living bodies that embodied centuries of evolution and development. First he would work purely in the Afterworld, in his Bloodmarsh, but nearing the Era of Magic he set his eyes upon the corporeal plane and sought to take his experiments to a whole other level. While embodying an Avatar, Nytheran would prey upon the living and succumb them to horrid tests that involved brutally dissecting and goreing them and infusing their bodies with the genes of other specimens. He would conduct his experiments in his Halls of Fleshcrafting, an ancient structure beneath Grukoor's surface.
His rampant desire to play with the creations of Order caused the other Gods to intervene and chastise him. Rengrown himself would be furious over his desire to play with life in such a depraved way that he cut off his ability to enter into his Avatar form, yet even the intervention of his fellow Gods did not relent Nytheran even if he was imprisoned within his own Bloodmarsh. Though it would take years eventually he would connect with a worshiper named Rohan and make him his disciple, instructing him to his Halls on the mortal plane and continue his work developing a race of war-like lizardmen capable of instantaneous evolution - The Sark.
When he deemed his creations finished, Nytheran would betray his loyal follower by tricking him to open the cages that held the Sark and left him to die under their stampede. From his sanctum in the Afterworld, Nytheran could only laugh in bliss as a perfected specimen was unleashed upon the virgin world, unprepared for what is to come.
Powers and Abilities
As the God of Blood, Nytheran possesses the ability to manipulate corporeal forms in any way he sees fit. This ability, however, only has a use in the corporeal realm.
Thankfully Nytheran possesses the incorporeal alternative to his powers by also being able to manipulative the ether of Souls though he is less effective this way. He is also a formidable fighter said to use an array of claw attacks and winged assaults in the battles against the Cosmos.
Physical Description
Nytheran is described as a massive four-limbed bat with snow-white fur and red bodypaint. He has a long flowing crimson mane and large wings that cover his back.
As he is proud of his Veryn, Nytheran is known for also taking the form of one topped with the clothing of their culture.
