Regindra Miraron Sophiagnitas Fedelerin, or simply Regindra, is the current Queen of Luxfordia and the first Asvarian ruler of the kingdom. Though she was born a middle-class citizen, Regindra played a pivotal role in the survival of the kingdom by rallying others against the last King of the Humans, Yvain Greymoore IV.

Background

Regindra Fedelerin was born in 2967 to a family of leatherworkers in New Luxford. Led by the family Patriarch Miraron and his wife Sophiagnitas, Fedelerin Cut was a self-sustaining business that found success in providing excellent services and quality crafts for any who sought to protect their body in the finest of leathers a Luxfordian could make. Regindra was naturally indoctrinated into her family business and learned at a young age the trade by hunting with her father and working the gathered skins with her mother.

A young Regindra would find time for other activities too, especially those that included her best friend Nattius Fuga, a simple street urchin but also a charismatic young man that always managed to get in trouble with the authorities. Thanks to his Human heritage, Nattius was never truly punished and even covered for Regindra when they caused mischief together.

The business was forced to shut down after High King Valon Greymoore II was assassinated in Gwynbrenon in the year 2988, causing his son and royal heir Yvain Greymoore IV to take to the throne. In his wanton for justice, Yvain saw to all Elves and Asvars alike to be prosecuted for his father's death and hastely stripped all of them from their rights. Regindra's family was one of many torn apart, as Miraron spoke out against the soldiers that came to shut down Fedelerin Cut. For this, he was taken prisoner and transferred to the reformed Hammerworks to put his known skills to use making armour for the army's Archers and specialists. His wife and daughter were taken to the castle as the new High King sought to put Asvarian women to work as servants in his castle halls.

Under custody of the royal family of the Greymoores, Regindra witnesses recurring mishandling of not only her own aging mother but all Asvarian servants that found themselves at the bottom of the barrel. Though she was subject to the very same mistreatments as others, Regindra managed to bear her teeth and power through by sheer force of will and calculated cunning, using the mortal indulgences of her Human captors to her advantage to gain increasingly more influence in the castle halls. For five years she worked to make her name known to the royal family, becoming a prized servant for them and the de facto leader for the other servants. She used this influence to gain access to information vital to knowing the inner workings of the kingdom as well as valuable resources she would manage to distribute out of the castle and into the hands of fellow Asvars in the city.

Regindra's ploy would be uncovered eventually and she would be forced to kneel before the High King himself to hear out his judgement. In his speech before the rest of the royal house, he recalled a love that he once had towards an Asvar servant named Lyana, yet she would show her true colours and betray him after when he opened himself up to her. Though a fabrication of his flawed mind, Yvain used this to paint an image of what an Asvar really is - unpredictable and dangerous when kept off a leash.

To nail his point home, he would bring in Sophiagnitas and stage a choice to her - remain kneeling in obedience as Yvain listed the sentencing of her daughter; or take a planted knife in reach and attempt to kill the King. Sophiagnitas, furious to see her daughter in such a state and exhausted from age escaping her, would take the knife and attempt to lunge at the High King as he had his back turned to her, yet the man would anticipate this and react with a backhand strike disarming her and lifting her up by the neck.

"See? Backstabbing beasts, the lot of them. They would take every opportunity to kill their masters." The High King spoke as he choked the life out of Sophiagnitas, even as a teary eyed Regindra pleaded for mercy for her mother. Sophiagnitas' body would tumble lifelessly to the marbled floortiles of the throne room, the stillness in Regindra's voice haunting the posh on-lookers of the execution. In the aftermath, Regindra was locked away in the castle dungeon, where she was to live out the rest of her life in solitude with the only view to the outside world a small opening to the castle courtyard blocked by metal bars.

For seven years Regindra was locked away in prison, but never did she lose the dullness of her sharp mind and wits. While she was hindered by emotions of anger and sorrow, she found light in her determination to carry forward. In secret she trained her body and honed her thoughts with meditation and strategic thinking, remembering the vital information she had gathered and making a list of high priority targets in the royal family who's deaths would breed instability in the nation. Using rations from the food she was provided, Regindra befriended an Imperial Falcon named Dacian and trained him to deliver messages to Nattius, now a member of the Fated Blade. He would then deliver these messages to his masters to plot with them an coup against the High King.

Over the next year, as the Grand War raged off-planet, the Fated Blade used Regindra's information to off vital members of the royal family, destabilising the control of the royals in the absence of the High King and his most powerful generals. New Luxford quickly became a battlefield of civil conflict which caused supplies and communicaton to be cut from reaching the frontlines. In the chaos, Regindra was also rescued and freed from her prison and made a leader figure in the Asvarian Uprising, leaving the Fated Blade to act in the shadows. Regindra would find that before she was rescued, her father was too and supplied the revolution with the necessary equipment to win a battle against the city guard. She was the first to break the news out to Miraron of his wife's fate.

In two years time while Regindra continued to campaign for her leadership, High King Yvain's offensive would fail, with him dying in the fields of Gwynbrenon much like his father did decades prior. All estates par for Ironwatch would speak out in support of Regindra Fedelerin The Liberation Front was formed to push back and reverse the effects of the Luxfordian armies, retaking lost territory and returning it to their former owners. The last stage of the war saw the Dwarves of Mor Kardia, stout allies of Luxfordia, honouring their defense pact with the Humans by fighting and dying at the gates of New Luxford. Regindra would lead one final attack on Castle Aspectum to eliminate Duke Aerthur Justigarde II, de jure ruler of Luxfordia in the High King's absence, but before Regindra would land the killing blow Aerthur would escape and end his life himself - by plunging his body off the balcony of the castle.

With the Duke's death, the Grand War was considered at an end. Archdruid Leronas and Zanchul Apox would commend Regindra's efforts to stand against her oppressors but spoke lowly about the continued existence of Luxfordia as a whole, believing that the nation must be ended once and for all if peace were to remain in Auria. Regindra spoke back against them, citing that the kingdom is not ready to trade one tyrannical leader for another. Fylkir Cyrun Ragnagard, lord of the Urson, would see the good heart in her and stand by her.

Ultimately, the kingdom of Luxfordia was spared under one condition - Regindra Fedelerin and her bloodline must rule the kingdom.

Regindra Miraron Sophiagnitas Fedelerin was crowned Queen of Luxfordia on the dawn of the next year, 3004. With her newfound influence she did away with many of the oppressive laws of the Kingdom and made Asvars equal to Humans. Her rule would spell a stronger union in the House of Dukes albeit Ironwatch would concede their dignity in favour of sparing their unshakeable pride, causing them to isolate from the rest of the kingdom, weakening the military strength of Luxfordia even more. Regindra's wits in diplomacy allowed her to make new connections and forge new allies both on-world and off-world to make up for Ironwatch's desertedness.

Regindra Fedelerin has since ruled for 16 years strong, reforming the culture of Luxfordia into that of a cultured and enriched nation striving for peace even though inner conflicts with Ironwatch continue to boil. She also lives a double life, escaping the confines of her castle to play the role of an adventurer in other reaches of Azura, seeking to do her part in aiding the commonfolk with their troubles during an era when the military is still recovering.
