The Sacred Order is an ancient tribe that inhabits Serena. Long ago, a tribe of Human refugees reached Serena seeking exile from the war-like nature of Luxfordia but as they searched for new land to settle they were ambushed by a vicious pack of Cerberons until they got cornered at the top of the mountains. When all hope seemed to have been lost, a group of Wolfen Demon Hunters intervened and struck the beasts down, using their natural agility and knowledge of Demon hunting to their advantage. Although they planned to move on, the Humans asked for the Wolfen to stay and protect them, helping them heal their wounds and perhaps in exchange they could learn from them how to fight Demons more effectively. The noble Wolfen agreed, helping them set up camp on the spot what would later become Emere Village and guiding each of them in their ways of fighting until they could pull their own. Since this historical moment, the people of the Sacred Order have learned to live a secluded life in the varied regions of Serena, respecting the beauty of nature and the balance of life and death.

Throughout their history, the Sacred Order has served the purpose of fighting evil to defend innocents, becoming skilled martial artists who wield an array of sharp blades to combat Demons. The Sacred Order's greatest champions are their Ninjas who are tasked with leaving Serena to combat Demons all across Auria, believing that the world is worth fighting for. Though it was in Emere that the first of their numbers were made, other settlements soon established themselves all throughout Serena that follow the Sacred Order in unison. These settlements would each then adopt its own customs and ways specializing in skill and knowledge, creating a diverse set of peoples among the Sacred Order.

When King Yvain's armies intruded upon Serena and conquered the Naga, the Sacred Order wished to aid those who lost their homes. As such, the Elders of the order journeyed to the Naga capital of Jad'ir, sneaking past their defenses and aiding as many Naga as possible with evacuating, escorting them to their many settlements where they could find refuge while their city was being sieged. After the fall of Yvain Greymoore and the defeat of his armies, the Naga were able to return to Jad'ir and rebuild their city. As thanks to the order, the Naga offered them a place in Jad'ir but they kindly refused, wishing to stay in their villages. Understanding their love for their homes, the Naga instead made a pact with the clan to share them the knowledge of Mantra so that they may further improve their martial prowess, this time the Sacred Order agreed without a doubt in their mind, allowing a single Naga to join the ranks of the Elders in the order to teach them the ways of the Naga.

With such pact made, the Sacred Order were able to further enhance their fighting capabilites, gaining further knowledge to the powers of Mantra which they use in their own, unique way, weaving the spiritual magic in combat to strike with great precision and calm, able to conjure spirit fire and much, much more.

Laws of the Order

The Sacred Order is made out of different people all across Serena that follow the order's decrees in slaying Demons in the name of peace and order. Each Law, as they are called separately, has different customs and ways they train.

Romin, positioned in Emere, is widely considered the governing force of the Order. The people of the Sacred Order live every day seeking enlightenment through training both mind and body so that they may each find their true purpose in life. Much of the teachings held in the Order focus upon spiritual journeys to find the uniqueness in each person which then allows them to seek their own approach to combat. The colour of their banner is Green.

Shizu, positioned in Jaji, are a people who at a young age perform a ritual to cut their vocal cords, permanently making their members mute. They wear iconic masks over their mouths and noses and are seekers of wisdom and chroniclers of the order. The colour of their banner is Yellow.

Chimei, positioned in En, put their folk through harsh trials which claim many lives but also produce powerful warriors capable of great feats. The Chimei are rash in their customs, believing that the ends justify the means. The colour of their banner is Red.

Culture

All warriors of the Sacred Order dedicate themselves to eradicating evil from the galaxy which primarily takes the form of hunting Demons using the ways of the Ninja. Though many leave Serena never to return, they will always associate themselves with the Order and the Law they are born in.

Outside of constant training and Demon hunting, the people of the Sacred Order live ordinary and peaceful lives, cultivating the mountainous land around them and worships it like it is a God in itself. Down from the cliff where Emere lays, the farmers of the Order tend to rich paddy fields that grow Serena's Rytchi Rice which is their main source of sustenance as well as export.
