Created to fuel the Cycle in the Galaxy, Souls are the lifeblood of Auria which move as a consistent pace between life and death. Souls are what bring life to living bodies which include Mortals, Animals and even Plants.

A Soul begins it journey in the hands of Rengrown, the God of Life. Before him, the Soul is but an blank husk which becomes filled with a condensed amount of Etheric energy which gives infuses a unique lifepower into the husk which is then sent out into Auria to merge with a newly made lifeform, giving it life. Through its life, the Soul continues to gain value and power through its deeds and experiences which strengthen it and makes it stronger. At the end of its life, the Soul is reaped from its body by Shikaze, the Goddess of Shadow, and sent on a journey to the Afterworld to be judged by Perisha, the Goddess of Death, who splits the husk from the Ether of the soul, sending the empty husk back to Rengrown to be reused for another Soul while the Ether within is made into a Spirit, which represents the being that it was in life.

From this spirit, the Ether it has accumulated throughout its life through experiences and memories is harvested and granted unto the Afterworld to continue sustaining it, leaving behind a spirit cleansed of weight who can take his or her spot in the forever afterlife of their choosing whether it be on the eternal Battlefield of Zarus, where the soul can do battle till the end of existence, the vast Library of Infinity, where the soul can find itself in search of wisdom it could not find in life, or even the Soundless Forest of Somniva, where the soul can rest under one of its many great trees and stargaze to their heart's content. The Soul is always free to pick where they wish to go but many choose to stick to a singular realm within the Afterworld that most suits them or their beliefs. Souls that remain in the Afterworld also have a chance at becoming one with the forces of the Afterworlds itself, transforming them into the likes of Angels or Dryads if they are judged fit for the role.

Souls can become tainted with the influence of the Cosmos which may also disrupt its path from the cycle, preventing it from returning to the Afterworld and be given a peaceful afterlife. These souls are often found in the likes of Ghosts and Phantoms which aimlessly wander the living world seeking a purpose and only through divine intervention may they yet be saved. Souls fully claimed by the Cosmos are incapable of being saved as they carry the full taint of chaos. These Souls are destroyed without a chance at eternal peace.

Souls who sinned much in life or were touched by the Cosmos are sent to the Underhell to be purified in the Afterlife before they can be judged. Some souls are seen beyond redemption and are given the punishment of their entire being restarting in a new life, erasing what made them who they are and their memories to make room for a new Soul, effectively granting them reincarnation. Some souls who were good in life also ask to be reborn rather than stay in the Afterworld which is often granted to them, though it means that their character and memories becomes erased.
