Background
T'anaris is a priestess of the order of Serket, a brotherhood of healers that dwell in the city of S'emphiss.
She was born to two members of the order, the guardian Haurun and his wife and priestess Sahra. At a very early age T'anaris was made to study the ways of the Serket under the tutelage of her mother so that one day she too would be a Priestess, learning the means to weave mystical oasis waters to protect and rejuvenate her allies, a formidable force that is revered by the people of Chronos. Despite the overwhelming support T'anaris had from her mother to be a priestess and the enjoyment she personally had in weaving restorative magics, the young Senkh girl would still feel a part of her missing when she was placed through a trial of combat against an ancient guardian of the Elem Archives, a place of worship and training for the Serket. T'anaris found that while she had the magic to heal herself and freeze foes to restrain them, she missed a personal touch. She would go on to secretly train under her father the ways of the bow, an action that would be strictly forbidden for a Priestess to make.
T'anaris' persistence to wield a bow would eventually cause her and her family to be exiled from the Serket over the offense of breaking their age-long traditions. They would be forced to live elsewhere but without any monetary gain from being in the brotherhood they were essentially homeless, only picked up years later by a friend of Haurun's named Khais who let them live in his quaint home in Gissah. T'anaris would feel remorse for the fate that her parents were forced to endure because of her but she also believed all three of them to be wronged by the order over what should be no big matter. T'anaris would spend the next three decades living in Gissah, earning income for her family by being both a guard and a medic, giving her life new purpose.
Around the age of 70, T'anaris would be sent out for a mission to the north of Livanin alongside a party of adventurers to fight a monstrous Sepa. Their ensuing battle would cause the ground beneath them to crumble, causing the party to fall into the depths of the Elem Archives. There, T'anaris would come across a chamber housing a relic weapon known as Hapi. This object of power would immediately resonate with T'anaris and accept her as its wielder, enhancing her capabilities with her magic while also granting her a powerful bow to sling elemental arrows at her enemies. T'anaris' party would rely on the exiled priestess to guide them out of the Archives.
When she left the archives she would be met with the order of Serket who, though furious with her return at first, were astonished that Hapi had accepted her as its wielder. She was forgiven by the elders of the orders and asked to return to them, to which she would hesitantly accept under the condition that she, and all other priestesses, could practice combat without fear of being antagonized. She would get her wish and be made a leading figure in the youth of the order.
During the Grand War, much of T'anaris' order would be killed as the Human army marched upon their sands in overwhelming numbers. The Serket elders made a decision to protect the rest of the kingdom by combining their forces to hold back the army long enough to let everyone else retreat to the capital, this action would cost them their lives. T'anaris entered the capital stasis like most her people did during the war, waking up years later to a changed world. She would return to S'emphiss to help with rebuilding it and restoring the order. To this day the recovery is in process.
Powers and Abilities
T'anaris is as skilled in archery as she is using restorative magic, combining the two in seamless fashion during combat to protect her allies. She specialized in water magic, whether it be for its healing purposes or to freeze foes in their tracks and pierce them with icy bolts from her relic Hapi. She can conjure waves and ride it for increased movement speed and reach areas beyond her reach, create obstacles in the form of pillars and walls of ice or summon a typhoon of rejuvenating water to bring allies back from the brink of death.
Physical Description
T'anaris Nile is a charming Senkh woman with clear feminine features including a pumped up chestpiece and wide hips. She has blue scales which highlight to a sandy white and serpentine yellow eyes.
She typically wears light clothing befitting a Senkh, although the arm that wields Hapi is partially encased in crystalline armour. A similar crystalline structure can be found adorning her tail, its edges sharp enough to make her tail a weapon when necessary.
