By all matters the Teracetus is a noble beast of the waters and a feared predator of lesser sea creatures since the start of existence. They live in the deepest parts of almost any body of water they fit their massive bodies inside and act aggressively when on the hunt for food for sustenance and rut with other Teracetus once every few years in bloody mating rituals that may last for many weeks at a time. The Teracetus is one of few naturally born creatures that is always a Hermaphrodite so in their vicious battles for dominance only the strongest matters. The Lamia of ancient times would spin folklore of the mighty Teracetus who's strength could shatter the ocean floor if it desired so, causing them to worship the beasts and adorn them with praise.

In time some parts of the Lamian kingdoms would continue to worship the beasts as Gods while other places the Lamia would see past their Faith and instead learn to tame the beast king of the seas and use them in combat and as guards for their sacred grounds and vaults. At times they would also be known for gifting their chosen Teracetuses with Living Water Scales to give them the ability to go on land and wreak havoc.

Abilities

The Teracetuses are powerful foes that lurk underwater and attack relentlessly when they have their eyes set upon their prey. Their long snake-like bodies allow them to swim effortlessly through the water and lunge at foes almost suddenly, capable of even jumping out of water and grab land-dwelling prey into their grasp and drag them underwater almost certainly sealing their fate. They are able to see perfectly in the dark and bite through solid steel with their powerful jaws and durable teeth. Their scales are tough and only the sharpest of weapons can pierce through them and magic is often negated against them thanks to their naturally evolved resistance to it after years of experimentation done by the Lamia.

A notable feature to them are their two mighty arms that they can use to throw deadly punches at larger foes or grab lesser ones and squeeze the life out of them. Their bodies are also stretchable to help swallow bigger prey with ease with the likes of smaller Dragons being a favorite tough snack to challenge themselves with when hungry.

Teracetus wearing an Aquatic Scale necklace are capable of walking out of water without effort however one must only steal the necklace off of them to cause the beast to retreat to the nearest body of water lest it will die. Teracetuses are slow on land, using their giant fists to drag the rest of their body with them.

Physical Appearance

Teracetuses are massive snake-like beasts with large finned heads. They have two massive arms with equally massive fists and long slithering bodies reaching anywhere between 800cm to 1200cm long on average, though certain Teracetuses bred by the royal Lamia families are capable of growing even bigger.

Their scales range in a varied hues of color with nothing off the table.
