In ages past there existed a tribe of Stervera that took it upon themselves to find a home in the cold planet of Wyrmeron. As first of their kind to make an attempt to journey to a planet with such a different climate as any other they were ready to take on the challenge with strong heart and pure souls. Calling themselves the Coldfront and led by a strong-willed figured called Zheling Dao, these Stervera made themselves known on Wyrmeron's Frostfire Islands where they briefly were on good terms with the native Avari and aided them in many a chores and quests before they would set out to find untamed land to make it their own. Unfortunately to them despite the cold the northern continent was largely civilized already with the Urson and Fjordsid controlling Shiveer, the Avari holding control over Frostfire and the Dragons being a powerful presence in Winterfury with the Enrali taking up what little isolated space there was left.
Too few in number to begin a war with any of the natives yet too prideful to return to their originating tribe without success, the Coldfront set off south across the Arctic Ocean to find a home in Everfrost as dictated by the headstrong Zheling who, despite hearing numerous protests and warnings from the birdfolk, still opted to lead her people south by boat which she managed to acquire through the help of the Fjordsid to the east who, unlike the Avari, practically advertised the land to them as a place ripe for the picking.
Sadly, arriving upon Everfrost Zheling's Coldfront tribe found it harsher and less forgiving than they would have hoped. Though they had naturally thicker fur to help battle the frost they would find themselves struggling to hunt for food as the beasts of the land were monstrous in size and far deadlier than elsewhere. So it was that the Coldfront tribe wandered the wastelands with Zheling Dao at the forefront believing that a promise land could be reached should they persevere. Many would grow fatigued among them and few would be left to die in the cold wasteland if it meant glory to their tribe and despite doubt and fear quickly overtaking their numbers Zheling Dao would manage to find the land promised to her in faint whispers - The Gardens of Eternity! A vast and fertile jungle sitting on a circular island surrounded by a flowing stream of water, a sight that restored faith in their leader and made them push onward with newfound courage and willpower.
Unknown to the Coldfront tribe however, the Gardens are a land not meant for Mortalkind to set foot in unless they are of Draconic descent. Just as soon as the Stervera could admire the beauty that was the endless and hearty bounties the land offered that they were also noticed by the Draconic sentries set up there and were in turn cornered by the Everbinders that ward and cultivate the land for the empire. Specifically were they met with the face of a particular Dragon known as Colere, one of the Ring of Elders who was tasked with watching over the Gardens like many others before him in a long-line of Cultivators. Believing themselves doomed to the fury of the Dragons, the Stervera laid down their weapons immediately and knelt before the Everbinders, who believed they should kill them immediately and sow their corpses to the earth to give to their Gardens a healthier soil but Colere, mindful and merciful as he was, believed that a less barbaric method for dispensing punishment was to be made.
"It is here that you step on soil belonging to the Dragonblood and thus have you stolen from us a bounty meant to feed the mouths of our whelps and elders alike. Through law and order, I am to sentence you to death so that your coils may be given to the earth and enrich the bounties still yet not stolen. Yet I am not of a merciless descent and as such see death as an answer for your punishment. Thus it is that I ask you to consider an alternative - will you serve as our hands in cultivating the land to make up for your transactions?"
Believing it as their way of escaping death, Zheling Dao agreed to Colere's proposition and placed her faith, and the faith of her followers, in his hand. The Coldfront would be led deeper into the wilds that were the Gardens of Eternity and within it they were placed into laboring roles to tend the land around them. Though at its base slavery, the Stervera saw it as a high honour and gladly came to work the Gardens if it meant they were well fed for their service. Despite Colere's proposition ordering them to serve their time in the Gardens, the Stervera asked to be taken in forever, to be allowed into the Empire if it meant they could continue to live like this. Objecting at first, Colere met with the other Elders of the Ring and proposed to let the Coldfront into the Empire and the response to it was a surprisingly resounding yes but under the condition that they are willing to be permanently transformed into Dragonkind. Zheling Dao and her followers agreed to their fate when Colere came to them with the proposition, allowing each and every one of them to be molded and formed by the blessing of the Dragonqueen herself to walk the land not as Stervera anymore but as beings with Dragonblood - Wyaur.
Religion and Culture
By nature, the Wyaur have the same religion and culture as the Draken with very many parallels between them, though Wyaur have a more zealous approach towards worship than what the Draken generally have. As Drakens who have ascended into the ranks of Aspirant or beyond rarely go back to manual labor and instead focus on combat, the working class for the empire was left with short-sized Stewards before the introduction of the hardworking Wyaur who have made themselves the strongarms for any sort of labor.
Much of Wyaur culture revolves around trying to best serve their Draconic overlords with many Wyaur lives consuming themselves to the unsatiated desire to please them. Other Wyaur have come to be that seek a life with less strings attached but they are often looked down upon by the majority of their kin.
Society and its Structure
Wyaur society is of a working class within the Draconic Empire. In the eyes of one another, all Wyaur are equal so long as they pull their own weight. The majority of the Wyaur live as simple laborers in the empire though they are allowed to have lives of their own after work hours much like the Draken. As such, Wyaur and Draken are largely akin to how they are positioned in the grand scheme of the Draconic society. The Wyaur are, however, more in number within the Gardens of Eternity than the Draken thanks to their stronger builds and readiness for physical work.
Rarely do Wyaur leave the comforts of their home in Dragonhearth or the Gardens of Eternity but when they do, they are oft feared or viewed as threatening by the other races. The Wyaur have yet to make a solid impression for the rest of the world.
Physical Appearences
Much like their Stervera ancestors, the Wyaur are a race of taurs though with fully draconic upper and lower bodies. They have two arms and four legs all of which have naturally a lot of muscle to them. Lizard-like tails come out the back of their bodies that are sometimes adorned with fins or spikes which comes from heritage.
Certain Wyaur are born with draconic wings. These Winged Wyaur are said to come from a bloodline of Wyaur that originate from Zheling Dao herself.
