The Wylderin Empire is one of Auria's largest and most powerful kingdoms - comprised mainly of Elves, Wolfen and Dryads, though accepting others than follow their ways, the Wylderin are stalwart protectors of nature.

Background

Long ago the Elves of Gwynbrenon lived together in union with the wilds itself, their numbers spread across the forests of Tranquilon where they prospered, ever under the watchful gaze of the mighty Loodents. In those days their union was called the Wildguard with early signs of the future Wylderin empire already apparent in their faith towards nature's Gods, the reverence of animals and nature and a zealous need to safeguard them. They would have a shaky relation with the wild Fenik and the neighbouring Trolls who, like them, also had a renown towards nature though it was of a different kind. Predating the eruption of Tranquilon's northern mountains, the primal Elves and the Trolls shared the land with one another, even if their faiths were different, finding unison in antagonizing the Fenik and threatening their species. Where the Trolls practiced rituals to appease their gods in sometimes brutal fashion and chanting verses of power in praise of the elements, the Elves were quieted, secluded and collected in their worship. Certainly there was a difference between their two cultures yet in some way they managed to live in harmony to the point that they settled within the northern mountains multiple united towns where both Troll and Elf lived as one.

Sadly, when the mountains erupted in volcanic fashion, the people who lived there were wiped out. Without a reason to place blame upon, the Elves spoke against the Trolls for practicing their rituals that called upon the volcanic eruptions to destroy their people, in return the Trolls argued that it was the pacified nature of the Elves that made the earth enraged of their folly. The Trolls and the Elves would split apart from that point onwards, sowing a seed of discord between the two peoples. The Wildguard and the Troll tribes would never again strike a harmony, instead their relations would often switch between neutral and hostility as disagreements in their faith and expansions resulted in arguments that were decided in ruthless battles between one another.

As the world entered the Era of Unity, Elven society would have been more sophisticated by then. No longer did they feel a need to harass or endanger the Fenik that they shared their lands with, yet the same could not be said about the Trolls who would continue to make attempts in enslaving their kind for labour. Despite their disagreements, the Wildguard would not step in to aid the Fenik in their plight, eventually causing the desperate few of their kind to invent a makeshift Skyship and escape the planet all together.

In the advent of the Skyship, the Elves would discover a world beyond their own and begin having foreign dialogue with other nations, although they were largely guarded and defensive.

In the year 934, The Human nation led by Queen Archbishop Martha Judas Saina would bring war upon the lands of Gwynbrenon following a disagreement which the Wildguard that hurt the pride of the Queen Archbishop. The great Battle of the Wilds would take place where the Humans invaded Elven lands, slaughtering them and desecrating their shrines and sacred places. The Wildguard would struggle against Luxfordia at first, but as they watched their forest burn and their holy grounds defiled, their zeal would only grow. Their vigorous cries of war caught the attention of one of their prime gods of worship: Fenros, the Wolf God. In a flash of divine light he came down to intervene in the battle between Human and Elf and as he saw the destruction around him, he knew who was to blame. For their invasion and disrupting the natural balance, the invading Humans would all be banished into the Afterworld by Fenros through the Gate of Dreams, a portal created as a link between the corporeal world and the Afterworld, their kind turned into servants for the Dryads native there, becoming the Wolfen. The Wildguard would also not be spared their God's anger, as their zealousy towards Luxfordia provoked this war in the first place. He would instruct them to regrow the lands and shrines that were destroy and to make attempts at building better relations with the world they share with others, knowing that their kingdom cannot be isolated forever.

Following a conflict within the Afterworld between the Dreamwalkers and the Demons, a congregation of Wolfen and Dryad traveled through the sacred Gate of Dreams to stop an invasion of Demons from coming through. The Wildguard Elves would join the Dryads and their Wolfen servants in union to fight off the Demons together. This union would prove itself very strong in the end as they would be able to secure a solid foothold around the Gate of Dreams and ultimately end the invasion without any further defilement taking place in the real world. The Wolfen and the Dryads that came to this world would remain there to defend it, giving rise to Nytlerei around the gate as a means of protecting it and with the union they had with the Wildguard, the Wylderin Empire would be established.

Moving on as a united force, the Wylderin would establish a formidable presence in Gwynbrenon, ending an age long feud with the neighbouring Xib'alba Troll Empire and seeking a new goal in perseverance of nature, forming bonds with other nations like Bjorn, Nova Voltex, Shin Dynasty and even Luxfordia, though the ground between the two nations would be shaky and uncertain. When the Grand War begun with the invasion of Livanin, the Wylderin wished not to involve themselves in another nation's petty conflicts but as capital by capital fell, the kingdom would take strides in preparing for an incoming attack while also working with other enemies of Luxfordia to stand together. Ultimately, through a union with Bjorn, Urol and Xib'alba the Wylderin would not only slay Luxfordia's king as he led the attack upon Gwynbrenon himself but they would also liberate the fallen capitals and conquer Luxfordia in Imperia, establish the Asvars as the supreme power there.

Social Structure

The Wylderin Empire is led by Triskelion, also known as the Triskelion Council. As the Elves, Wolfen and Dryads are all equal members of the kingdom, the council features a leader figure from each of the three peoples to represent their wants and needs. The members of the council are an Elven Archdruid, a Wolfen Alpha and a Chosen Dryad.
