Overview
Wyrmeron is a vast arctic planet. The Region is very mountainous but also has vast expanses of flat, tundra terrain. Wyrmeron is made up of five areas split between two continents: Winterfury, Frostfire Islands and Shiveer Frontier on the northern continent and Everfrost and Gardens of Eternity for the southern continent. Everfrost is the largest of the five areas, spanning the length of the southern continent entirely, whilst Winterfury is the largest on the northern continent, the Shiveer Frontier being the second largest, covering the eastern side of the northern continent while the Frostfire Islands are the smallest, consisting of three large islands and one small one positioned between Shiveer and Winterfury. Similar in size is the Gardens of Eternity.
The vast majority of Winterfury and Everfrost is extremely cold and mountainous while the islands and Shiveer are slightly warmer, with spring being much more noticeable in those regions. The very tip of Winterfury can also experience warmer climates at certain times of the year as it is a low flatland parted with a large chasm from the main mountains of Winterfury. The Gardens of Eternity is a warm region in comparison, never experiencing the winter season thanks to a aetheric shield conjured by the Dragons to keep it warm all throughout the year.
Most of the ocean on Wyrmeron is covered in a very thick sheet of ice. A divide in the ice spans the length between the two continents starting in the Frostfire Islands and ending at the Gardens of Eternity.
Wyrmeron is the largest planet in Auria. It is the seventh Planet from the sun.
Winterfury
As the main region of Wyrmeron, Winterfury is described as a hazardous, mountainous land where few mortals can survive. Much of the region is raised up in high snowy peaks with deep chasms between, requiring the use of rigid wooden bridges to travel between the mountains. Many dangerous beasts live in these mountains, much larger and more vicious than most of Auria's bestiary. The shoreline borderlands around Winterfury are smoother and flatter and the prefered places to go by travelers seeking to journey to Winterfury. Here, the wildlife is more sparse and peaceful and the climate is warmer as well, though during certain times of the year the weather can turn to a frigid storm even down in the lowlands. Most of Winterfury is unsettled and left to the wilds, however on the western tip of the land lies a small village called Heirdorm, home of the mysterious Enrali. Deep in the mountains of Winterfury there lies a massive Draconic city known as Dragonhearth, home and origin of the Dragons of Auria, however reaching it on foot is a challenge that only very few mortals have been able to accomplish throughout history, whether it be due to the dangerous region, the vicious wildlife or the Dragons keeping mortals away from their home.
The massive chasm that isolates Dragonhearth from the rest of Winterfury is not bottomless as most mortals believe - in fact it boasts a pine tree forest at the surface of it where some Draken have made their homes looking to be away from the city.
Frostfire Islands
Named after a mysterious energy that courses through the mountains that rise up on the islands, Frostfire is mostly a tundra that is mainly inhabited by the Avari, a race of birdfolk. The islands are also rich in forests as well as plantlife sought after by experienced alchemists to make strong cold remedies, though most of it is harvested and sold by the locals as a means of trade. The weather in Frostfire changes between soft breezes to snowy and windy periods.
The region around the islands is warm enough to melt the thick layer of ice covering the planet's ocean, allowing access to water without the need to drill or chop through the ice.
Shiveer Frontier
The north eastern cap of Wyrmeron and the favorite place to visit by adventurers, Shiveer is mostly a flatland with hilly plains sprinkled about, lush forests and only a handful of mountains to speak of. The wildlife is much more active here however so travelers must stray with caution as to not be raided or pillaged by a pack of hungry Wolves. Shiveer is also home to the Urson who live in a city notoriously made out of Isstein, a material found underground in Wyrmeron that resembles unmelting ice.
Though they are seen as big and mean looking, the Urson are a hearty folk that welcome adventurers with warm hugs and even warmer ale. The Fjordsid also make this land their home and cautiously share it with the Urson, living in the small village of Krigerildsted.
Everfrost
By all accounts a frozen wasteland, Everfrost makes up the majority of the southern continent of Wyrmeron. It is an endless span of snow and ice where only the fittest and most adapted can survive. Although no major civilization has taken root here, smaller settlements have come and gone in this harsh environment and the ruins buried beneath the dozen meter snow tells of an ancient civilization that did once thrive in this land now either extinct or evolved. The Fjordsid of Eldgammelildsted live in the far eastern region of the land, believing the climate to be a trial that their people must face to be proven worthy in the Afterworld.
Monsters and tough beasts that have adapted to the extreme cold make the land their home and thrive in it, attracting daring adventurers and monster hunters to travel to this frozen hellscape for the sole purpose of hunting them.
Gardens of Eternity
Known to some as a land of untold mysteries, the Gardens of Eternity is a bastion for Dragons that flourishes with life on an otherwise cold and unwelcoming planet. As the name suggests, this jungle serves the purpose of providing Dragons with a selection of fruit and plant life suited for their size and hunger. To keep the gardens safe and nourished, a sect of Dragons known as the Everbinders live here that protect the land from Mortal intrusion while also cultivating the land so it can continue to provide rich bounties for the Draconic Empire.
Many Draconic architectures can be found scattered across the gardens each serving some form of importance for the Everbinders. Like with everything else here, the native wildlife is also twice or even trice their normal size, making the land dangerous for Mortals to traverse unless they wish to be devoured by a Tiger reaching ten meters in length.
