Background
She was brought into this world in an brood of eggs by her mother Ixil, a high-standing matriarch in the Bloodscythe Clan and a revered spiritual leader of many in Dzungle. As brash as she was caring, Ixil had a clear rivalry with then King Goros, son of King Rorankos and grandson of King Dormarl, who feared the growing influence she had in his clan would expose his weaknesses to the world and dethrone him. Goros would have Ixil be purged with the worst punishment known to the Sark - banishment into the "Pit of Hell", a vast and inescapable wasteland known as Duiwel. Although cunning beyond her years and expecting Goros to order such an ordeal, Ixil would not have foreseen the betrayal from her mate, Vhrok, who enforced and carried out her banishment despite the promises of protection he gave her. She was to be thrown into the pit with her unborn children as ordered by the coward Goros.
Ixil would survive the fall into Duiwel but most of her eggs did not - the mere sight of her childrens' impalement upon the spikes that riddled the cliff wall of the scorched land left the grieving woman scarred, but hope also glimmered through as in her clutches a single Egg did make the fall, that of her child she would proudly call the descendant of honourable Darra, the first Ironscale. When the Sark hatched from her egg, she would be blessed by the name "Skoldarra", in the dialect of the Sark meaning "Son of Darra".
The young hatchling would learn fast of the cruel hand she was dealt but in her a proud and iron willed spirit burned bright, caressing herself and her mother with the warmth of hope which allowed them to carry on living in a place very few escape from. They made their home in a cave overlooking the wasteland and begun to live off of the carcasses of those lingering throughout the forsaken land, feasting upon their essence and gaining strength from it. Ixil saw it with her own eyes, how consuming the flesh of specific monsters made her only child strong. Skoldarra would be raised by the tales of her people, the Sark, and the fertile lands they inhabit, as well as the reasons for their exilement which cursed the young warrior with such a hazardous life. To this, Skoldarra could only say one thing: "I am glad. This has made me strong... strong enough to crush the skull of that Goros!" That smile as she spoke those words, it made Ixil so very happy but also equally as troubled.
"Yes. One day, when you escape the pit of hell, you will rise above them all and be a great Queen."
Eighteen years they spent in the dunes of Duiwel, feeding on what equalled as scraps and bits shared between them with the occasional bounty in the form of an alive monster, the strongest and most meaty of them all being the Shaytan, a demonic monster that would one day invade their cave and claw and maul Ixil to the brink of death while Skoldarra was out hunting. When she returned, she killed the monster feared by many, enraged by the danger it posed towards her only family, goring the Shaytan to bits and feasting on its essence, feeling the surge of power with every bite she took. She would have Ixil feed on it too, help her to do so to regain her strength even when she protested against it. Even though the flesh of the monster had strong capabilities that boosted the eater's strength, it did little to fully support Ixil. Having grown old, her body begun to give away under her own weight and she would prove to be more of a hinderance than a companion to Skoldarra. Nevertheless, the young warrior did not give up on her and instead she proclaimed the impossible.
"I will take us home, mother, and I will become Queen!"
With her weakened mother in her grasp, Skoldarra climbed the spiked wall of death that makes up the Duiwel barrier, hours turning into days without rest for either of them. When finally she did reach the top, Skoldarra would be crushed to see that the lands beyond their position suffered a similar state as that below them. She would give up the search for her home right there if it weren't for her mother's guidance due west, where the lands of Dzungle should lay. Skoldarra walked the path that Ixil once took towards her supposed execution, now hellbent for revenge. The beautiful of the fertile lands of her ancestral home made the young Sark tear up, having never seen such a precious sight before. The return to her homeland brought Ixil to tears as well, her weakened state made worse as she begun to have difficulties breathing. Following the stories of her mother, Skoldarra travelled further west, trekking through the mud and wilds towards the Wildfang Clan and asking for their aid in healing her mother, a request made easier when there were some in the village that still remembered Ixil from the bygone days of old nearly two decades ago.
Skoldarra would then travel north, to the lands of the Bloodscythe. The spiked black-scaled Sark traversing the hills of their territory and crossing volcanic pits to arrive at their fortress city was a tale of itself which some Sark could be witnesses to, and when she reached her destination she uttered only a single sentence: "Bring me Goros!". To answer her battle shout, the Chieftain sent out a dozen of his Chosen to restrain and apprehend this outsider, believing that a rival Clan had sent her to usurp him. To Skoldarra, her foes were meager and easy prey through which she cut and powered through with ease, fighting through Goros' Chosen while the people of Bloodscythe watched on with pride, seeing the hero Darra in the eyes of the outsider. When no more Chosen were left to stand in her way, Skoldarra was face to face with King Goros himself, the brutish Chief fearing for his life yet too prideful to forfeit stood up and simply jestered to her the opportunity of becoming his newest and strongest Chosen, a notion which only humoured the fierce warrioress right before driving her claw into his gut and eviscerating him before a crowd, sparing no mercy when removing the iron crown from his scalp and shattering it. "My clan will have no crown, it will only have a Chieftain. A Queen!"
Since that day, Skoldarra has ascended to the Chieftain's throne as a renaissance of the Bloodscythe. She has spared no day out of her life to developing her clan's potential, freeing it from a greedy monarchy and reviving their culture of a mighty people who host storied war games and spectacles of strength to remind the world who they really are. Though she did not grow up with a belief towards the God of War Zarukk, she would be quick to pick up on her clan's faith towards him and have the Wildfang erect a monument in his name at the center of their city, replacing the statue of King Dormarl. She has seen to personally overseeing many of the training regimes that take place in her territory as well as representing a spot in being the general during wars outside of Dzungle and leading hunting parties during their war games, her name quickly becoming a legend among the Enkhulu and Cobros who both mark her down as a potential threat to an everlasting peace in Auria should she gain more power than what she already has.
In her time as Chieftain, Skoldarra has earned many titles including the Iron Queen, the Kingslayer and the Rekindler yet none matter to her more than Queen Mother, a title she would earn when she would take under her wing a Sark hatchling called Ixela, named after Ixil, a Sark who now spends her venerable years as an teacher for the Bloodscythe.
Powers and Abilities
Skoldarra is a menacing combatant in direct combat with her muscular build and brute ruthlessness giving her an edge in any physical fight. She is capable of throwing punches that can pulverize stone walls and thanks to her Ironscales she is able to shrug off almost any direct blow and even when she is injured her natural Sark regeneration allows her to close off her own wounds within seconds. Though she is skilled in using many heavy weapons, her favorite tools in combat are her own claws which she uses to both rip and shred as well as punch and decimate. The blood of a fierce Wyvern runs through her veins which further amplifies her regeneration as well as granting her more vitality, stamina and the ability to breathe out fire. She has a minor understanding of Pyromancy and uses it mainly to enhance her own body with a fiery barrier or light her spikes and claws ablaze for further damage on her hits.
The aforementioned Ironscales trait is Skoldarra's best offensive and defensive tool. As part of the Ironscale Lineage, her scales harden to be as tough as steel when exposed to physical trauma allowing her punches to be like battering rams as well as defend her like a fully clad Paladin of Luxfordia.
Despite her considerable strength and the pleasure she gains from a good fight, Skoldarra has a personal code of honour in who she kills and who she spares - Those she believes are weak or capable of training more are oft spared while those she believes are equal to her might are killed, should she defeat them. Her arrogance does mark most opponents as "weaker than her" even if they pose a good amount of challenge for her which means she often spares her rivals. She avoids fights she believes will bore her unless she is properly provoked, in which she most certainly will put the provoker in place after several beatings and a few burns.
Skoldarra does lack any formidable defense against magic as her Ironscales are less effective at shrugging it off. She is, however, resistant to fire and frost. Spells that serve to bind a person in place must be extra strong to keep Skoldarra bound due to her sheer strength being able to break through weaker spellcraft. All in all, when dealing with a spellcrafter Skoldarra's strategy is to bear the blunt of their magic and rush them out.
Physical Description
Skoldarra is a large Sark standing at 310cm tall. She is heavily muscled with their defined edges visible clearly. Her scales are black in colour with red warpaint drawn across in patterned stripes. Her breasts are sizable in comparison to her body and she keeps hidden in a furred black top that is cut from the same material as her pants that cover half her thighs each.
A massive spiked tail hangs from behind her that narrows as it goes further with a rounded tip at the very end. When her ironscales activate her scales become visibly more rough and coarse.
