The mystical Treants are treefolk creatures oft found in the wilderness tending to nature. They are children of the ancient Ydnesuurs, giants who are one with the wilds around them. Like their progenitors, Treants are aggressive towards any who they deem a threat towards nature and they will use their strength and magic to expel them from their presence.
In Gwynbrenon there are many Treants allied with the Wylderin, living as one in their open-air settlements and aiding in the cultivation of their land. In defiled land, a Treant can easily become corrupted.
Powers
All Treants wield nature-based magic at their disposal, preferring ones that subdue their enemies. They also possess great healing and blessings, making them reliable allies when support is necessary.
When dormant or recovering from wounds, Treants will become still and indistinguishable from trees. They may sometimes use this trait strategically in order to trick evil-doers into thinking they are safe.
Physical Appearance
Treants are medium-sized treefolk with root-like legs and long gnarled arms. Their trunk-like bodies merge with their heads that feature their glowing eyes and mouth. Many Treants are topped with foliage and leaves.
