Background
Z'thulun is the Black Father of the Nightmare. Though the direct origins of Z'thulun remain a mystery, Z'thulun rests at the heart of the Nightmare within his kingdom of darkness forever waging a war with the denizens of the Dream in hopes of one day corrupting all of it and therefore sending all of Auria into madness, his existence largely a mystery to the world of the awake aside from the fact that his faceless facade shows itself to those that fall victim to his nightmare. Nevertheless, to keep their peace of mind the Dryads, who are the main Mortal race possessing the knowledge of Z'thulun, keep his knowledge a secret to the rest of the world and when asked about the frightening nightmares that they witness, the Dryad's gleeful and seemingly carefree attitudes simply brush it off as nothing to worry about. Despite it, there have been those that have begun to research the function of the Dream and the One with Infinite Eyes.
Z'thulun powers are limited by his influence over the Dream and the more he gains control of the realm, the more powerful he grows. Initially he has the ability to transform his own flesh and blood into creatures of nightmare that act under his control which makes Z'thulun and his Nightmare armies a hivemind. He also has the innate power to influence the souls of those he watches, whispering words of madness to them to drive them to his control.
Physical Description
Nobody truly knows what Z'thulun looks like as he never has shown himself fully but what is common among everyone's visions of his are that he is the definition of an eldritch monster. Dark purple skin that pulsates, thousands of slithering tendrils, burning red eyes that pierce one's soul... a voiceless voice, all common traits of the Black Father.
