Background

Born from the chaos of a battle between Caelus and Teracota, Ta'awsahta is Auria's God of Sand and progenitor of Livanin desert.

During an age in prehistoria a conflict between the God of Wind and God of Earth would pit these opposing forces against one another in epic calamity, carving from the great mountains south of Azura a great canyon and a vast, lifeless desert. This battle, instigated by Caelus' demonstration of what "freedom" is to the disapproval of Teracota, would also spawn a creature who'd become the chaotic vortex of their two powers combined, lashing out at anything and anyone in his path promising to create a desert out of the whole of Imperia - Ta'awsahta. As a storm of biting sands rose between the fighting Prime Gods, the realisation of their action finally came to light erasing the fog of their emotions. Instead they would redirect their elemental powers onto the newly arisen aberration in a successful attempt to dismiss his existence.

Yet the story of this battle would not die with the destruction of Ta'awsahta. Gaining influence during a time when the Gods did not yet comprehend the potential of faith, small tribes of the many races of the western continent would record the mirage of these two great Gods clashing in the skies and lands into song, story and mural, passing on not only the misdeeds of the Primes but also the birth of the vengeful God of Sands. Through prayer and faith alone did Ta'awsahta return to life, much in thanks to the Senkh and Shrevir who feared his wrath.

Ta'awsahta's eventual resurrection and his rise to power was feared by the Gods so a second attempt to seal him away was tested, this time with Aechronos stepping in to confront the monster. Realising in Teracota's domain within the Afterworld, Ta'awsahta sought to erode Order and turn all to sand and were it not for Aechronos... Ta'awsahta would have succeeded. Wrapping his serpentine form around the storm of his frame, Aechronos would bind Ta'awsahta in golden bracers and unbreakable chains, limiting the growth of the God through faith before imprisoning him in a tomb of his own making.

Ta'awsahta's continues to reign even in a semi-dormant state, his breathing whispers in the corporeal air that slowly erode earth and cut from it his sands. Even as a force of malevolence, he is deemed necessary as the aspect of sands.

Powers and Abilities

Ta'awsahta is considered one of the most powerful non-Prime Gods to exist thanks to being a force borne of the conflict of two Primes clashing and fusing. Through renown, he has gained more power too, allowing even in his weakened to unleash devastating sandstorms throughout Auria. He is said to be a primal force of nature more-so than a sophisticated, conscious being.

Physical Description

Ta'awsahta can be described as a living vortex of sand gathering around a central point that is his core. He takes a semi-humanoid form with visible claw-like arms and a narrowed tip at the top that is meant to be his head. He wears the golden bracers of Aechronos and divine chains that keep his powers sealed.
