At the Dusk of Dawn the world of Auria became under siege by the endless armies of outlandish Demons. Together with the Dragons and mortal heroes wielding powerful relics, the Gods banded together to fight against those seeking to undo their creation. While the Gods themselves could not enter the corporeal realm in their full strength, they were able to create Avatars and physical manifestations of their powers to do their bidding for them.

Seeking to make an army of stone, Teracota would create the Giants to act as living embodiments of her strength and craft eight powerful Deities, one for each planet in Auria, to lead them. They were the Sons of the Earth:

The Sons were generals of Teracota's army, each tasked with protecting their respective planet from harm. They would each lead an army of earthen soldiers known as the giants to do battle with the enemy. The ensuing galactic war would result in the destruction of the planet Dragoosh, leading to the demise of Damas and his giants, a strike of grief on the rest of Teracota's sons. After the war, the seven remaining would be discharged by their Goddess, told only to watch over their world even when the threat of war wasn't upon them. Each son would go on do different things - Atlas would travel to the icy north of Ischyros to watch over the Human tribes and become a figure of heroism to them, Kuaf would lose his connection to the Prime Goddess and become a practitioner of greed, Khalev would travel the uninhabited lands of Gwynbrenon and carve from the earth impressive and beautiful landscapes, Mumban would watch over the central canyons and give them the name Okramm, named after his favoured soldier during the war, Brahma would travel to a distant island and go into a deep meditative sleep, Jotnar would welcome the homeless Dragons to his home in the mountains and allow them to create Dragonhearth, Gayan, like Kuaf, would lose his connection to his Goddess when the corruption of the vast void took hold of his world, his fate is currently unknown.

The war would leave most of the giants in service of the Sons dead, resulting in the decimation of Teracota's army. Anticipating the return of a large scale demon invasion, the remaining Sons of the Earth who still followed the will of Teracota convened in Grukoor to build the Zul-Bronzen Vault in which they could make a new army ready to stand in their service. From stone and spirit they forged the first of the Enkhulu, soldiers following the design of the Giants as well as mortal races like Humans and Elves. After their creation, Mumban would volunteer himself as the watcher of the dormant Orgoni awaiting for the day that he may unleash their defensive prowess to the world. Centuries would go by with Mumban watching over them with endless vigil.

Though they were never meant to live independent lives, Mumban would lose his life to a meteor that pierced the skies of his world and cratered the land where Zul-Bronzen rested, destroying the prison and unleashing the Enkhulu people. In his dying breath, Mumban bestowed to them his love and a single message: "Be the world's protectors."
